  1. Abinadi says:

The giraffe fighting is crazy. Crazy!

  2. Ree says:

    Highlights:
    * Tom saying “rain down the pain” with (what sounded like) a straight face
    * “The only time I jumped [during Signs] was at the end when I jumped up to leave”
    * Serious discussion of intellectual honesty while arguing over this bracket of nonsense. (Please note that this is a highlight).

    Lowlights:
    * You guys lost focus on a frightening scale. EARTH IS IN DANGER – hand the reins over to Superman already.
    * You’re all wrong about Unbreakable.
    * OK, I’m picking a nit, but Ender didn’t save the world from alien invasion – he WAS the alien invasion.

Who was right: Abinadi – for standing up for The Fifth Element and saying “deus ex machina.”

Excellent podcast, but if there’s ever a committee put together to decide how to fight an alien invasion, I hope you three aren’t on it.

  3. Totally not Arthur says:

Best podcast in the world, like super cerealness. Underground Giraffe fighting is the new rage!!

  4. Abinadi says:

@Ree – I think all three of us would be more than happy to have Superman defending the earth. But given the parameters of the discussion, he was clearly out of place. Also, the Formics started the war. Ender just finished it. Thus preventing the inevitable invasion before it happened. The earth thanks you, Andrew Wiggin!

  5. Ree says:

Abinadi, I just can’t believe how wrong you are.

The mogawhatever challenge is between “alien-fighting pop culture icons.” Are you trying to say that superman isn’t an alien-fighting pop culture icon? How dare you.

Also, there was no third invasion. Through Ender the buggers had come to know humans as sentient individuals – they weren’t coming back (or else I totally don’t remember the book as well as I think I do).

You keep this up, young man, and I’m going to revoke my vote for you as the one who was right.

  6. Andrew says:

Great podcast. I didn’t hate everything that Tom said this time! In fact, I actually agreed with a few things he said! haha

And my hats off to Arthur. He was the perfect choice to bring in for this podcast.

  7. Liz says:

    – I totally jumped at signs… I mean the alien hand under the door… COME ON TOM
    – I really did like “The Last Air-bender” so props to Tom for standing firm… my not have had the *best* acting but you cant fault the film and script quality for a hiring a bad casting director
    – I don’t really like comparing Will Smith to anyone as a alien fighting actor because all I picture when hearing his name is him as the fresh prince… *cue the show entrance rap*
